Pisco is a distilled spirit produced from fermented grapes and falls within the brandy category. Pisco is the most popular distilled spirit among Chileans, accounting for approximately 50% of the Chilean distilled spirits market. Chilean Pisco has the distinction of being the spirit with the longest history in the Americas and the second in the world to be awarded the name of origin.
The liquor industry in Sichuan Province has a long history, with the four regions of Luzhou, Mianzhu, Yibin and Qionglai being particularly prominent. The ‘Six sisters’ – Wuliangye, Luzhou Laojiao, Jiannanchun, Tuopai Quju, Quanxing Daqu and Langjiu – collectively account for half of the Chinese liquor market.
Vincent Xu and Sa Wang, in collaboration with Prochile and Luzhou Laojiao, will participate in the Spirits Masterclass, which will explore the global landscape of distilled spirits.
